CAMPING CARD SCANDINAVIA
Norway,
Sweden, Finland and Denmark cooperate on providing
a joint camping card, Camping Card Scandinavia,
which is issued in the Nordic countries.
In
Norway the card is compulsory at all camping facilities
that are listed in Norwegian Camping Guide 2010.
The
card offers the following benefits in Norway:
| - |
faster checking in and out |
| - |
accident
insurance for you and your family during your
stay at the camp site |
| - |
discounts
– a full, updated overview is available
at www.camping.no |
What
does it cost?
Camping Card Scandinavia is free, but must be
validated with an annual sticker. The sticker
is available from all businesses listed in the
Norwegian Camping Guide. You are not required
to check in in order to purchase it.
The
validity sticker for this year costs NOK 120 and
is valid until 31 December 2008, but it is only
sold until 1 September. After this date you may
purchase next year’s sticker which will
also be valid up to the end of the year.
Who
does the card apply to?
Camping Card Scandinavia applies to individuals,
spouses, cohabitants and single parents with children
under 18 years of age living in the same household.
Upon reaching the age of 18, a separate camping
card is required.
Groups
Cards are issued to institutions (schools, pre-schools,
colleges, sports associations etc.) with a minimum
of 5 and a maximum of 11 persons travelling together.
The leader of the group must be over the age of
18. In order for the card to be valid, a list
of the names of all group members must be supplied.
What
if you haven’t received your card?
If you haven’t received your Camping Card
Scandinavia card before going on holiday, you
may obtain a temporary camping card at the camp
site. No additional costs will ensue. This card
affords you the same benefits as the regular card.
Remember to bring it with you when you continue
your trip.
Do
not dispose of the temporary card. It is proof
that you have a validity sticker.
When you receive your plastic Camping Card Scandinavia
card, bring both cards with you to a CCS affiliated
campsite. You may then return your temporary card
and request that the reception staff supply you
with a new validity sticker for your plastic card. |
